- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆My son is new at this school for 2017-18 school year. He came with a very good IEP for reading & writing that he was making very good progress on. 3 months into the school year they will not listen to any of my concerns. His IEP is now headed to mediation as they will not listen to the advice of his former school. I would look else where before I would ever enroll a child in this school. The special education department is absolutely terrible & only look to do things that make it easy for the teacher regardless if it benefits the teacher. They eventually will stop responding to emails, it has gotten so bad I had to get the school superintendent involved in order to have Sunrise respond to me.By john guider, July 31, 2017
